Hi guys! đ finally, first sem is done for my second year in medicine! im so happy!!! đ I couldn’t have survived those months without God as my LORD AND SAVIOR! To celebrate the end of the first sem, I had a date with Osky. We were supposed to join our friends in tagaytay but our schedules did not permit us to. I am glad that Osky was free to join me post-exams!
His friend told him of a restaurant in Quezon City that apparently is familiar to me as well. I know of this place because I have done my research as to where its good to eat vegetarian/vegan dishes in the metro. So we agreed to try the food at GREENS!
GREENS is located along Scout Castor Street. The place is very inviting because it screams HOME! haha! It is actually a home converted to a restaurant. We got there before 12 noon. The place is so serene. You would feel at peace just by sitting there. Apparently, the waitress was busy so we had to get the menu for ourselves.
Osky placed our orders and we got to try these….
I had the Spinach soup for starters. I love Spinach so I enjoyed eating this. It was hot so its how I really want it to be!
Osky ordered the Pumpkin soup. He says that it tastes good because apart from the pumpkin, you can taste that it was seasoned well.
we ordered the same thing for main course except that I had bread and he got java rice.
The mushroom tofu bbq tasted good! i like that the tofu was so packed and the mushroom tasted well seasoned đ
We were already full after we ate the main dish but I really wanted to try the eggless desserts.
Can you guess what I ordered?
HAHAHAHA! ofcourse I had to order the carrot cake. VEGAN carrot cake!
I wondered how they made this so I asked. They use tofu instead of egg. Brilliant! I liked that it was full of raisins, nuts and flavor.
Osky ordered the mango custard.
It was really sweet because of the caramel syrup, but it tasted okay đ
I will definitely go back to try the other dishes that they offer. I just hope that the waitress would be more accommodating in terms of recommending what dishes we should order as first timers, also, it would be great if she can respond with a smile đ Nevertheless, I enjoyed my dining experience there with Osky and we will surely come back đ
